About Grace Transformational Ministries

Who we are, what we believe, and how God is moving through GTM — from our beginnings in 2015 to the vision that carries us forward.

WELCOME TO GRACE TRANSFORMATIONAL MINISTRIES

Our Beginnings

Grace Transformational Ministries (GTM) began in 2015 as a result of a God-given vision given to Hubert "Woody" Wortham, senior pastor. God placed a desire in Woody's heart to build a global church that draws the unchurched and inspires members to invite unchurched family and friends.

GTM is a non-denominational church composed of Christ followers who are passionate about seeing all people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and grow in their relationship with him.

In short, the vision was to launch a church consisting of a cyber-campus and multiple ground campuses in several states and around the world. Each GTM church is committed to providing a warm atmosphere where people can come and experience the love of Christ, enter into a relationship with Him, and be transformed by the grace of God.

By creating an atmosphere of community, GTM will grow into a global community where unchurched people love to come and where members are excited to invite unchurched family and friends.

Mission & Vision

GTM Mission

GTM's desire is to create environments for progressive life-change by connecting people with an inward connection of themselves, a vertical connection with their creator, and a horizontal connection with each other.

GTM Vision

We reach out to our local and online communities to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, equip them to serve those in need, and bring glory to God.

Those who are considered members are those who connect with us, serve one another, invite others, and give to support GTM's mission.

Our Beliefs

God

We believe that there is one eternal God, who is the creator of the universe, who reveals Himself in three divine persons. These co-equal and co-existent divine persons (also referred to as the Trinity or God-head) are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)

Jesus Christ, the Son of God

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for the sins of all mankind, was crucified, rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and will return again to fulfill God's divine plan. Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for our sins by suffering and dying on the cross so that all people could be forgiven for sin and be reconciled to God.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the God-head and that He in-dwells every person who confesses faith in Jesus, the Son of God. He convicts individuals of their sin and enables believers to live for Christ. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to be witnesses for Christ and bestows gifts that equip us to fulfill God's will in the earth.

Satan

We believe that Satan is a spirit and the source of evil. He was once an angel in Heaven who, because of his pride, rebelled against God and was thrown out of Heaven. It was Satan who deceived the first man and woman, which led to their rebellion against God. His purpose is to tempt, deceive, destroy, and prevent them from experiencing abundant life in Christ.

Mankind

We believe that God created man in the image and likeness of Himself, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and that He desired to have an eternal relationship with every human being. When the first man and woman sinned, they became separated from God. Because of this original sin, all men are born sinners and need a savior. Jesus Christ died to restore mankind's relationship with God. All who confess their sin and place their faith in Him can now be connected to God.

Baptism

We believe, according to the Bible, that baptism by submersion in water is an outward declaration of allegiance to Christ. Jesus was baptized and we follow His example through this public demonstration of our faith.

Communion

Communion is a sacrament or observance when believers take time to remember Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Together, we partake of elements that represent the broken body (bread) and shed blood (juice) of Jesus Christ that provided the forgiveness for our sins. We eat and drink together following the pattern that Jesus set when He shared the Passover meal with His disciples on the night before He died on the cross.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, written by men by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God's heart and plan for all people is revealed in the Scriptures that have been preserved over thousands of years. Therefore, as believers we believe that the Bible is the authoritative collection of truths that provide instructions for living a life of faith and godliness.

Serve

We believe when people connect and begin to "do life together" by serving one another, it leads to life transformation. God has called all of us to serve one another and has gifted each of us to serve with a motivational gift.

You can answer the call to serve by engaging with a ministry team in our church, or serving in our community.
